  • Leather or suede (including natural carpet cleaning) – freeze with ice cubes and gently scrape. Mix a paste from fuller earth and water. Apply on the stain and let the mixture dry. Brush it gently with a toothbrush and finish with some leather conditioner to refresh the treated area.

  • Wax removal of felt – the same procedure with the freezing and scraping, but do it carefully, so you cannot shred the felt fibers. Brush with a stiff-bristled brush. In extreme situation, scrub with a razor blade.

  • Carpet cleaning – the most typical failure with romantic candles. However, you can deal with it by freezing the wax to make it hard. Scrape the remains as much as possible. Then lay a cloth and run a warm iron through the rest of the wax. Repeat the procedure as much as you need to.

  • Silver – freeze and scrub gently with a plastic spatula. Do it vigorously and make sure you can’t remove more wax mechanically. Turn on the hot water and wash by adding some soft dish washing soap. Rinse in hot water and dry immediately!

  • Wood – freeze the wax and scrape without gouging the wooden material. Then, buff the wooden object with chamois cloth and use some wooden polisher in the end.
